Met Debut Rigoletto

Following an acclaimed return to Carnegie Hall with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Pablo Heras-Casado looks ahead to his debut at New York’s Metropolitan Opera, where he conducts Verdi’s Rigoletto from November 11 to December 7. The Spanish Maestro leads a cast that sees Dmitri Hvorostovsky in the title role, Irina Lungu (November 11 to 18) and Sonya Yoncheva (November 21 to December 7) as Gilda, Matthew Polenzani as the Duke of Mantua, Stefan Kocán as Sparfucile, and Oksana Volkova as Maddalena.

In August, Sony Classical released Domingo – Verdi, a collection of baritone arias sung by the legendary Plácido Domingo and featuring the Orquestra de la Communitat Valenciana, led by Pablo.
