Following concerts in San Francisco and LA, Heras-Casado prepares for Seattle Symphony debut

Following a successful return engagement with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, which prompted the LA Times’ music critic Mark Swed to compare the 32-year-old Spaniard to “a young Rattle,” and a debut with the San Francisco Symphony the week preceding, Pablo-Heras Casado now prepares to conduct his first performances with another leading West Coast orchestra, the Seattle Symphony.

The program for his debut on November 11 includes Mephisto Valzer No. 1 by Liszt, Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 3, and Tchaikovsky’s Piano concert No. 1 with Stephen Hough as the guest soloist. Repeat performances follow on November 13 and 14.
