Pablo Heras-Casado makes his debut with Ensemble Intercontemporain on 23 February at the Centre Pompidou Paris. The programme features works by Franco Donatoni and Marc Monnet as well as Take nine (for twelve) by Bernhard Gander, a piece commissioned by Ensemble intercontemporain. Heras-Casado is already reinvited for further projects with Ensemble intercontemporain in 2013 and beyond.

Acclaimed by Pierre Boulez and Peter Eötvös for his conducting of Stockhausen's Gruppen, to win the 2007 Lucerne Festival Conductors' Competition, Pablo Heras-Casado is a dynamic programmer of new music, regularly working with specialist ensembles also including Klangforum Wien, Collegium Novum Zurich and Ensemble Modern. His world premiere performances have included Toshio Hosokawa's opera Matsukaze, created last year at La Monnaie in Brussels, in collaboration with Sasha Waltz & Guests, and toured to Warsaw, Luxembourg and Berlin.
